In my view….as a child who grew up in my Mother’s nursing home in the 1950s carrying urinals & bed pans from age 4yrs & feeding those who needed help (we did it slow with chatter along the way)!- Who then trained in the 4yr Hospital system at Manly, Hospital, NSW & actually the very last nurse to wear the cap with 4 stripes (still have the cap & uniform). Then worked 40odd years in Aged Care. These days I see good Gov, help for health issues that really could be managed on a normal family budget …. Yes low income families need help but so many play the system as do Others in All Other Income Brackets …. Makes my blood boil when I know quite a few families who have battled for family members now deceased – And Now Sufferers who are currently trying to cope with this so debilitating & often long term disease …(often the Carer dies first)! They have so little help – Many do not have family or only have family not in a position to help. Parkinsons Disease sufferers Really Need Government Support & Have Waited Far Too Long.
